Sesame Pita Pan-Bread

  • 250g Flour
  • 7g Dry instant Yeast
  • 5g Salt
  • 20g Butter
  • 130g Water
  • 50g Sesame

Homemade Pita Bread with a kick of Sesame. Super soft pan-baked pita.

This is a good alternative “baking” recipe if you don’t have a oven around.
Mix all of the ingredients together until the dough becomes smooth. Depending on the Sesame, adjust Water and Flour if needed. Knead for at least 5 minutes.

Divide the dough into 4-6 pieces and shape into small balls. Cover with a towel for 30 minutes or until the dough doubled. After that roll out the balls to Pita shape.
Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.

Preheat a non stick pan to medium high heat and bake the Pitas for about 1-2 minutes per side. No Oil is needed.

Serve the Pita Pan-Bread alongside a Chicken Curry Tikka Masalla Style or as a Sandwich Style Gyro Pita.
