Spooky Pepper Heads

  • 500g ground beef
  • 200g Feta Cheese
  • 3-4 Bell Peppers
  • 200g Canned Tomatoes
  • 200ml Beef Stock
  • Italian Herbs
  • Salt & Pepper

Welcome to the first Halloween with BOEMEF. Lets get some horror to the kitchen with Spooky Pepper Heads.

Lets start with preheating the oven to 225°C/430°F.

To the Ground Beef add the small diced Feta Cheese and season with some Salt and Pepper. Add Italian Herbs if available. Knead until all is well combined.
To prepare the Pepper Heads cut off the top and spoon out the seeds and membranes, then carefully cut out the spooky faces.

For the Sauce pour the Canned Tomatoes and the Stock into a baking dish and add spare Bell Pepper.
Put the Pepper Heads into the Sauce and bake for approximately 60-80 minutes depending on the size of the Pepper.
Cover the Pepper Heads with some aluminium foil to prevent them from burning if necessary.

For the side dish we cooked some Wild Rice with Spinach and some Bell Peppers from the Sauce.
